My new baby!

I'm upgrading my bike and buying a new frame - the Leader 721. It's beautiful, light and the most affordable in the Leader range, it's gorgeous! I'm going to sell my old frame but just transfer all the components over to this bike, maybe with a few other minor upgrades. My boyfriend had a few bikes, so he's going to give me a good crank from one of his old bikes, and I'm going to get my wheels re-trued so they're riding right. I cycle a lot as it is, but I'll be cycling a whole lot more with this gorgeous thing! I guess buying that new R4 for my DS was a bit of a waste of time, I never play my DS now that I don't have the boring commute! I'll have to designate some game-playing time in my day, as that'll be the only part of my commute that I miss! Photo: Leader Catalogue
We all have our own different, individual styles and tastes in everything, but especially in clothes and fashion, but it's funny when you really look at it. My sister and I are really alike and have very similar tastes in a lot of things, clothes especially. But at the same time, we actually wear completely different things. It's so strange! She likes to wear block colours, and will buy plain t-shirts, while I think I own one plain black t-shirt and that is literally it. Every t-shirt I own has something on it, what's the point otherwise! It might be stripes or spots or a logo or a band's design or something, but always something! Of course vest tops and tanks and stuff are usually plain, but I'll always pick a pattern first. Trousers or skirts are almost always plain though. Weird. Maybe it reflects our personalities... Oh girls, why?

I really don't understand why some girls dress the way they do, leaving nothing to the imagination.
At university I used to see some real sights. Girls would use the themed dress up nights and sports and society events to wear the skimpiest versions of policewoman, cowgirl or hawaii girl outfits, which look like they're from Ann Summers rather than a fancy dress shop!
I always dress sexy not slutty, I'm happier in a pair of Firetrap jeans and a nice top - fashionable, maybe showing a bit of my figure, but I would never go out in hotpants or a bikini top to a pub or club. I'm a bit of a feminist anyway, so I hate the thought that a guy would look at a girl dressed like this and make assumptions about her sexually, but unfortunately, according to most of the men I've met, that's exactly what happens!

I had never heard of the designer Soviet Clothing until last weekend. I went shopping and decided to got to USC as I needed a new pair of shoes. I managed to find these: Now there were £52 and I bought them straight away. Nice aren’t they. They look a bit like plain Converses. Apparently, Soviet Clothing have been around for 20 years, and the shoes were really good quality. So I am pleased – and might even buy there stuff again! Picture: usc.co.uk
I got stuck on an awful rush hour tube ride through the city this week, and it got me thinking about how miserable it must be working in one of these big city businesses. Don't get me wrong it might be great; fancy lunches on the company to swoon clients, business trips, expensive suits... I just don't see the attraction myself. Everyone dresses the same, seems seriously stressed out on their way to and from work, some of them even to and from lunch. It just seems like such a drab grey world - everyone dressed in black, grey and blue, big industrial buildings made of glass and steel, more grey... I prefer a life filled with colour! Not having a commute with everyone dressed the same, not having a commute at all! Although I'm sure all the lovely stock brokers at Charles Stanley and Rowan Dartington love their high-paying jobs, but I can help thinking how much better off I am living creatively!
