The Life Of A City Worker
05May11
I got stuck on an awful rush hour tube ride through the city this week, and it got me thinking about how miserable it must be working in one of these big city businesses.
Don't get me wrong it might be great; fancy lunches on the company to swoon clients, business trips, expensive suits...
I just don't see the attraction myself. Everyone dresses the same, seems seriously stressed out on their way to and from work, some of them even to and from lunch. It just seems like such a drab grey world - everyone dressed in black, grey and blue, big industrial buildings made of glass and steel, more grey...
I prefer a life filled with colour! Not having a commute with everyone dressed the same, not having a commute at all!
Although I'm sure all the lovely stock brokers at Charles Stanley and Rowan Dartington love their high-paying jobs, but I can help thinking how much better off I am living creatively!
